Hyderabad: AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, addressing a public meeting at Darusalam, launched a sharp attack on the BJP over recent changes in NCERT textbooks, accusing the government of tampering with educational content to suit its ideological agenda. He alleged that altering history and curriculum undermines the academic integrity of India’s institutions and deprives students of learning the nation’s true diversity.
Mr. Owaisi also turned his focus on the Assam Chief Minister, challenging him on state level decisions. While the specifics of his criticism were not entirely clear, his remarks suggested disapproval of governance issues and policies that he believes marginalize communities.
Adding an international dimension, Mr. Owaisi made a striking comment on sports diplomacy, particularly cricket. He stressed that India should not allow politics to overshadow the spirit of the game, indirectly touching upon tensions surrounding cricketing ties with Pakistan.
The AIMIM Chief’s remarks reflect his continued strategy of mixing national level criticism with international issues, while also keeping local audiences engaged. His speech drew a strong response from party workers and supporters gathered at the meeting.
