AIMIM president Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi has responded sharply to the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 results, expressing both gratitude to voters and strong criticism of the ruling BJP and the electoral revision process in the state.
Thanks to Seemanchal and Supporters
Owaisi thanked the people of Bihar, especially those in the Seemanchal region, for supporting AIMIM candidates. He said the party’s performance showed that “voters are no longer captive followers of any party” and that marginalized communities are asserting their political choices with greater confidence.
He described the results as an “Encouraging sign” and said AIMIM would continue to strengthen its presence in Bihar.
Sharp Attack on BJP Over Voter List Revision
One of Owaisi’s strongest statements centered on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar.
He alleged that the revision process could be misused by the BJP to Target, Harass or Disenfranchise Muslim and Dalit voters, calling it a “deliberate attempt to weaken communities that depend only on their right to vote.”
Owaisi stated that the voter list revision must be transparent and carried out without discrimination, adding that “Poor Muslims and Dalits have only one tool their vote and that must not be tampered with.”
Calls Out Alleged Harassment of Voters
The AIMIM chief accused BJP led authorities of using administrative measures to pressure or intimidate voters in certain constituencies. He claimed that several communities had raised concerns and that the election process should ensure fairness and security for all.
Third Front Possibility Open
Owaisi also hinted at the possibility of strengthening or joining a third front alliance in Bihar in the coming political cycle.
He said Bihar’s political landscape is evolving and voters are showing interest in alternatives beyond the two major coalitions. AIMIM, he said, would continue to explore alliances that focus on Justice, Representation and Development.
