New Passport Seva Kendras (PSK) Inaugurated

A new Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) was inaugurated today, September 16, 2025, at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) Metro Station in Hyderabad. This facility is the first passport center located inside a metro station in India.

The inauguration was attended by Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLC Riaz ul Hasan, and Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi.

The MGBS Metro PSK is a relocation of the Ameerpet PSK and aims to provide more accessible passport services to residents of the Old City and surrounding areas. The new facility features improved amenities, including separate lounges for applicants, luggage lockers, and enhanced security measures. Applicants will receive tokens based on online appointments and proceed through the passport application process accordingly.

Additionally, the Tolichowki PSK has been relocated to the Siri Building at Raidurg, further expanding passport service accessibility in the city.

These initiatives are part of the government’s efforts to enhance passport services and make them more accessible to the public.
