Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing Washington of damaging diplomatic efforts during the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States and its allies.
Araghchi said Tehran currently sees “No Reason” to negotiate with the United States. According to him, diplomatic discussions were still taking place when Washington launched military strikes, a move he said effectively ended the possibility of continued dialogue.
He also rejected reports suggesting recent communication with American officials, stating that his last contact with Washington occurred before the present conflict began.
Meanwhile, President Trump has claimed that Iran is eager to reach a deal with the United States. However, he also indicated that negotiations would not move forward under the current circumstances.
The opposing statements from both sides underline the growing tensions and deep mistrust between Tehran and Washington. As military operations and regional instability continue, prospects for renewed diplomacy remain uncertain.
