Iran Claims Major Air Defense Success

A senior Iranian official has praised the country’s air defense forces, claiming significant military successes as tensions continue in the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel.

Ebrahim Zolfagahri, speaking on what he described as the thirty fifth day of the conflict, said Iran’s forces carried out effective defensive and offensive operations against multiple aerial threats. In an official statement, he commended what he called the “Strength and bravery” of Iran’s fighters, saying they acted with “Power, Speed and Precision.”

According to Zolfagahri, Iranian air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed a number of incoming targets. He claimed that these included advanced fighter jets, helicopters, drones, and other aerial systems. Among the equipment reportedly targeted were a fifth-generation F-35 fighter jet, several drones including MQ-9 and Hermes models, two cruise missiles, an A-10 aircraft, and two Black Hawk helicopters.

He described Friday as a major turning point, calling it a day of victory for Iran and a moment of “Humiliation” for its adversaries. He also stated that Iran’s integrated air defense network played a key role, not only intercepting threats but also guiding further strikes against enemy aircraft.

There has been no independent confirmation of these claims, and officials from the United States and Israel have not publicly responded to the specific details mentioned in the statement.

The situation remains highly tense, with ongoing military activity and limited verified information emerging from the conflict zone. Observers say that in such conditions, both sides often release statements that are difficult to independently verify, making it important to treat such claims with caution until confirmed by multiple sources.
