The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for Jummat ul Vida, the last Friday prayers of Ramadan, on 20 March 2026, in the vicinity of Mecca Masjid and Charminar.
To ensure smooth movement and safety, the main roads from Charminar towards Madina, Murgi Chowk and Shalibanda will be closed for all vehicular traffic from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Traffic will be diverted at several key junctions:
Charminar Zone:
- Madina Junction: Vehicles from Nayapul will be diverted towards City College.
- Himmatpura Junction: Vehicles from Nagulchinta/Shalibanda areas will be redirected towards Hari Bowli and Volga Hotel T Junction.
- Chowk Maidan Kaman: Vehicles from Chowk Maidan will be diverted towards Kotla Aliza or Moghalpura sides.
- Motigalli: Vehicles from Moosabowli will be redirected towards Khilwat Ground, Rajesh Medical Hall and Fathe Darwaza Road.
- Etebar Chowk: Traffic will be diverted towards Mandi Miralam Market or Bibi Bazar.
- Sher e Batil Kaman: Vehicles from Mitti Ka Sher will be rerouted via Ghansi Bazaar to High Court Road/Khilwat.
- Lakkad Kote: Vehicles from APAT side will be diverted towards Old CP Office Lane and Mandi Miralam Market.

Khilwat Ground: For devotees from Misrigunj, Fathe Darwaza, Hussaini Alam, and Puranapool.

Old Pension Office – Urdu Maskan Opposite Chowmohalla Palace: For devotees from Kishanbagh, Bahadurpura, and Hussaini Alam.
All restrictions also apply to RTC buses. City buses towards Charminar will terminate at Afzalgunj Bus Stop, and district bound buses will follow alternate routes via Chanchalguda, Saidabad, DMRL Junction, and Bandlaguda.
Secunderabad Zone:
- Subhash Road (between Mahankali L&O PS and Old Ramgopalpet PS Junction) will be closed from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Traffic will be diverted via Rocha Bazar, Ranigunj, and Paradise Junction.
- Vehicles from Bata X Roads will be rerouted via Mahankali L&O PS and Lala Temple.
