In a significant success for tech driven policing, the Pahadishareef Police Station in Hyderabad has recovered 23 lost mobile phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) system.

The recovered devices were returned to their rightful owners at the police station in the presence of officials. The victims, who had earlier reported their phones as lost or stolen, expressed happiness and appreciation for the swift action taken by the police.

Officials credited the success to the effective use of CEIR technology, which helps track and block lost or stolen mobile devices across networks. The initiative highlights how modern tools are improving the efficiency of police investigations and helping address public complaints more quickly.
