GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has ordered a major reshuffle of engineering staff across the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to strengthen civic administration and speed up development works in the city.
Following the recent administrative reorganisation, GHMC now functions through 12 zones and 300 wards. To ensure better supervision and efficient execution of infrastructure projects, the Commissioner transferred several senior and field-level engineering officials to key locations.
As per the transfer orders, S. Bhaskar Reddy, Chief Engineer, has been posted to H-CITI Designs and Administration. K. Varalakshmi, Executive Engineer, has been designated as EE, Designs and Superintending Engineer (FAC) Designs. Ch. Sampada has been assigned as EE (H-CITI & Administration) and SE (FAC) H-CITI and Administration. All three officers will function from the GHMC Head Office at Tank Bund.
In addition, a large number of Executive Engineers have been transferred across various zones. Officers have been reshuffled in Shamshabad, Rajendranagar, Charminar, Golconda, Khairatabad, Secunderabad, Serilingampally, Kukatpally, Qutubullapur, Malkajgiri, Uppal, and L.B. Nagar zones.
The Commissioner has instructed all transferred officials to assume charge immediately and work towards improving project monitoring, accountability, and timely completion of civic works across Hyderabad.
