Four Arrested in Chandrayangutta Murder Case

Police in Chandrayangutta have arrested four individuals in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old man, identified as Mohammed Salman, a plumber and resident of Kandikal Gate.

According to officials, the incident took place on the intervening night of March 22 and 23. The victim was returning home after attending a Ramzan gathering when he was allegedly attacked by a group due to a prior dispute. Investigators said the main accused assaulted Salman using a knuckle duster, while others joined in with a stone and physical assault, leaving him with serious injuries.

The victim was rushed to Osmania General Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries on March 27.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation. Acting on leads, officers apprehended the four accused on March 27 around 3:30 pm near Falaknuma Railway Station, where they were reportedly attempting to flee.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chandrayangutta ACP A. Sudhakar and SHO R. Gopi, with support from investigating officers and police staff.

Authorities confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to establish additional details related to the case.
