Large numbers of Muslims gathered on Saturday to celebrate Eid ul Fitr, offering special prayers across the city in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.
Senior police officials closely monitored the arrangements to ensure smooth conduct. V. C. Sajjanar, City Police Commissioner, personally supervised the security measures at key locations, ensuring that devotees could participate without any inconvenience.
After the prayers, the Commissioner interacted with the public, distributed chocolates to children, and extended warm festival greetings. He wished for happiness, peace, and prosperity among all communities.
Officials expressed satisfaction over the peaceful conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, noting that no untoward incidents were reported anywhere in the city. Authorities highlighted that extensive planning had been carried out in advance to facilitate both shopping and prayer arrangements, allowing celebrations to proceed smoothly.
The success of the event was attributed to strong coordination between the police, religious leaders, and various government departments. Officials also thanked community representatives for their cooperation in maintaining harmony.
Several senior officers were present during the occasion, including Tafseer Iqbal (Additional CP South Range), D. Joel Davis (Joint CP Traffic), N. Swetha (Joint CP North Range), R. Venkateswaralu (DCP CAR Headquarters), S. Srinivas (DCP Rajendranagar Zone) and Avinash Kumar (DCP Traffic), along with other police personnel.
