The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday continued questioning industrialist Anil Ambani for a second consecutive day in connection with an alleged ₹2,929 crore loan fraud case linked to the State Bank of India (SBI).
Officials said the questioning is part of an ongoing probe into suspected financial irregularities involving loans extended to companies associated with the Reliance Group. Investigators are examining the flow of funds, loan utilization, and possible diversion of money.
Sources indicated that the agency is also reviewing documents and financial records to determine whether there were violations of banking norms or any misrepresentation during the loan process. The case is linked to a broader investigation into alleged fraud and default involving multiple entities.
