Telangana is steering into a new phase of digital governance. The state has launched an AI-based facial recognition system (FRS) to track student attendance across 430 government-run junior colleges, affecting around 1.65 lakh students.
As of the launch day, 63,587 students have already been registered on the system, with the remaining to follow in the next few days.
