UAE Announces Support Measures for Visitors Stranded Amid Iran – Israel War

UAE Announces Support Measures

As tensions continue to rise in the conflict between Iran and Israel, authorities in the United Arab Emirates have introduced emergency support measures for international visitors who are unable to return home due to disrupted flights and regional travel restrictions.

Officials confirmed that travelers currently in the UAE whose flights were cancelled or delayed because of the conflict will receive temporary assistance. The government, through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and immigration authorities, is allowing short term visa extensions without penalties so that affected visitors can legally remain in the country until travel routes reopen.

Authorities also said support services are being coordinated at major airports, including those in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These include help desks for stranded passengers, guidance on travel arrangements and coordination with embassies to help travelers plan alternative routes home.

Airlines operating from the UAE are monitoring the regional situation closely. Some carriers have adjusted routes or suspended flights to destinations affected by the conflict, leaving a number of transit passengers temporarily stranded in the Gulf.

Officials said the measures are intended to ensure that tourists and transit passengers receive assistance and are able to stay in the country legally until flights resume.
