Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced a major employment push, declaring that the state government will fill 40,000 new job vacancies over the next 30 months. The announcement was made during a public meeting in Husnabad, held as part of the government’s two-year anniversary celebrations.
60,000 Jobs Already Filled
According to the Chief Minister, the government has already filled Around 60,000 posts since coming to power. With the addition of 40,000 new vacancies, the total number of government jobs filled under his administration will cross 1 lakh, marking one of the largest recruitment drives in the state’s recent history.
Why This Matters
Revanth Reddy emphasized that large scale recruitment was a Key promise made to the people of Telangana and central to the aspirations that were part of the statehood movement. Tackling unemployment, especially among the youth, continues to be one of the state’s highest priorities.
The CM described the initiative as a step toward a “People’s government” that delivers on long standing demands. He also highlighted that job creation would go hand in hand with development projects, including new educational and infrastructure works launched during the same event in Husnabad.
Employment & Development Initiatives
This announcement follows several employment focused schemes introduced recently, including programs aimed at Self employment for SC, ST, BC, and minority youth under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam initiative. The state has also been working to attract private investment to expand job opportunities beyond the government sector.
What’s Next?
While the Chief Minister confirmed the target of 40,000 new jobs, details regarding the Departments, Eligibility criteria and Recruitment timelines are expected to be released soon. Recruitment notifications will be crucial to track how quickly these posts get filled.
This large scale drive is seen as a significant step toward reducing unemployment and boosting administrative efficiency across Telangana.
