In a major move to curb gang violence and maintain peace in Hyderabad, City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, took strict action against anti social elements involved in inter gang rivalries across the city’s south, southeast and southwest zones.
As part of a special drive, 86 members belonging to 10 major gangs were summoned to the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGICCC), where a special court operating under the status of Additional District Magistrate (Executive) conducted proceedings.
Focus on Dominance Fights & Violent Gangs
Police have been closely monitoring individuals involved in Murders, Attempted murders and attacks linked to rival gangs. The Commissioner personally reviewed the cases of those contributing to disturbances and violent turf wars.
Bind Over Under BNSS Section 126
All 86 individuals were binded over under Section 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Samhita (BNSS).
They were required to execute security bonds, promising to:
- Refrain from any anti social or violent activities for the next one year
- Maintain good conduct
- Not disrupt peace and order in the city
Strict Warning from CP Sajjanar
Commissioner Sajjanar issued a stern warning that Any violation of the bond conditions will lead to:
- Immediate cancellation of the bond
- Strict legal action against the violators
He stated that these measures were necessary to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for Hyderabad’s residents.
Special Branch DCP K. Apurva Rao and relevant police inspectors were present during the proceedings.
The Hyderabad City Police reaffirmed their commitment to zero tolerance toward gang violence and efforts to strengthen law and order across the city.
