A 38 year old doctor from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district was found dead in her rented apartment in Hyderabad on Saturday. Preliminary police investigation indicates that it is a case of suicide. Officials said they recovered a note from the scene, in which she reportedly expressed deep depression after her U.S. visa application was rejected.
According to police, the doctor had been living alone in the city while preparing to move abroad for career opportunities. Her relatives, concerned after repeated calls went unanswered, alerted neighbors and local authorities, who later found her dead in her flat.
Investigators said the handwritten note pointed to emotional distress caused by the visa denial and disappointment regarding her future plans. Police have registered a case and sent the body for post mortem examination.
Family members have reached Hyderabad to complete funeral procedures. Further investigation is underway to determine if there were any additional factors that contributed to the suicide.
Authorities have urged individuals dealing with stress or professional disappointment to seek timely support and counseling. If you or someone you know is struggling with depression, seek help immediately through local mental health services and helplines.
